Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, pickup will occur at your hotel in Huatulco. A comfortable vehicle will take you on a 2-hour drive to Puerto Escondido.

Our first stop is a chocolate factory, where you will learn about cacao's journey from seed to chocolate bar. Enjoy a 30-minute stay, with a tasting that includes mezcal, cured meats, mole, sal de gusano, and chocolate. Gain insight into cacao's significance in Mesoamerican cultures.

Next, we will visit the Benito Juárez market for 1.5 hours, allowing you to explore local stands and products, capturing the essence of Oaxacan culture.

Afterwards, enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant, with suggestions for regional cuisine, including fresh seafood and traditional Oaxacan dishes.

Post-lunch, relax at Playa Carrizalillo for 1 hour, where you can swim or soak up the sun before proceeding to Playa Zicatela for an hour, known for its surf culture and scenic views.

To conclude the day, optionally visit the Adoquín Bohemian area or partake in a turtle release on the beach for an additional fee.

We will return to Huatulco and drop you off at your hotel after 11 hours.
