Make the most of your time in Cordoba to explore Alta Gracia, a town surrounded by nature. You'll discover an emblematic hotel, a Jesuit legacy and you'll be able to enter the homes of two historical figures. There's so much to see here!
Day Trip to Alta Gracia
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cordoba, and we'll head towards Alta Gracia, some 50 minutes away. On the way, we'll stop at the Miryam Stefford Monument to learn about this famous actress.
Once we reach Alta Gracia, we'll visit the Tajamar, an artificial lake built by the Jesuits, and the Jesuit Museum. Here, we'll uncover the influence this religious community had on the town and learn about the lifestyle of the monks who resided here. We'll also visit the Archeological Museum.
Continuing through the centre of Alta Gracia, we'll visit the church of Nuestra Señora de la Merced, then head to Villa Nydia, the Che Guevara House Museum. We'll explore the rooms where he grew up and see a replica of the motorcycle he rode during his trip to America.
Our next stop will be the house of Manuel de Falla, a Spanish composer who spent his final years in Alta Gracia. His house is now a museum, showcasing personal objects, furniture, books, photographs, and sheet music from his life.
The final stop will be at the Virgin of Lourdes Grotto, a site of prayer for many. We'll then return to Cordoba, dropping you off at your hotels approximately four hours after pickup.
