Jesuit Block and Estancias of Cordoba Tour
We'll collect you from your hotel in Cordoba at 9 am to start our tour of the emblematic Society of Jesus buildings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll discover their cultural value and their relation with the history of Argentina.
Our first stop will be the city of Colonia Caroya to visit the Estancia Caroya Museum, the first estancia of the Jesuits in the area, where you'll explore the rooms of the mansion that housed the monks in the 17th century.
Next, we’ll visit the Jesús María Estancia, where the Jesuit Estancia de San Isidro el Labrador is located. This stone building reveals the history of the religious figures that lived here, including details about the mills and land used to produce wine.
We'll travel for another 30 minutes to reach the Santa Catalina Estancia, founded in 1622. This building, with its white façade and two towers in a stunning natural setting, showcases the Society of Jesus' way of life along with a Baroque-style historical church.
Following some free time for lunch, we’ll return to Cordoba, passing through towns such as Ascochinga, La Granja, or Villa Animi, arriving at your hotel by around 7 pm.
