Tour of Santa Maria

Explore Santa Maria, the most visited city on Sal Island, in the Cape Verde archipelago.

Tour Highlights

The tour begins at the iconic Morabeza Hotel. Once everyone is gathered, we will proceed with our tour through Santa Maria.

We will stroll down the vibrant main street, with bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Next, we’ll visit the North zone to discuss the first houses built in the city.

The tour continues with a visit to the Municipal Market and a stop at the Municipal Fountain, where locals collect water for homes without running water.

Next, we’ll visit the Salt Museum to explore the history of the salt industry that named the island. We will conclude the tour at the Pontao de Santa María.

After 3 hours of exploring and learning about Santa Maria, we will say our goodbyes and conclude the tour.
