Abseiling in the Minca River Waterfalls

Unleash your adventurous side abseiling in waterfalls in the Minca River and enjoy a hiking route through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Description

At the specified time, pickup will be available from your hotel in Santa Marta. We will travel by minibus to the mountainous countryside of the Magdalena region for a full day of adventure.

Before arriving at the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, we will stop at a viewpoint for a view of the Caribbean Sea.

Upon arrival, a coffee accompanied by chocolate bread will be served, providing an opportunity to refuel before a hiking route through the rainforest. The hike, named Vereda Montecristo, will last about 45 minutes.

During the exploration of the Colombian Rainforest, you will hear birds singing and see coffee plantations, culminating at a waterfall in the Minca River that is over 100 metres tall (330 feet).

Next, we will conduct a brief safety briefing before abseiling. This activity will last about 15 minutes, depending on individual skills, with a descent of approximately 40 metres (130 feet) to a refreshing pool below.

A delicious lunch featuring salad, a main dish with a side, and a drink will be provided before we begin our hike back.

We will conclude the tour with a visit to a coffee and cocoa museum, then return to Santa Marta after 9 hours of activity and drop you off at your hotel.
