Leafy trees, lush mountains and streams await on our Buritaca River Trip. We'll set off from Santa Marta for this nature-focused adventure.

Buritaca River Trip

At the appointed time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Santa Marta to begin the journey through the Sierra Nevada.

Our first stop is the Quebrada Valencia. There will be a 30-minute walk, followed by two hours of free time to explore the area and its waterfalls.

Next, we will visit the mouth of the Buritaca River, where you'll also have two hours of free time. You can choose to rent tubing equipment to ride the rapids or swim in the river and observe local wildlife. There are numerous restaurants nearby to enjoy a meal.

We will return to Santa Marta and conclude the trip at your hotel after 8 hours of activities.

Changes to the itinerary

Note that in case of rain or if the river is low, we will replace Quebrada Valencia with another location or provide more time at the mouth of Buritaca.
