Exotic birds, mangroves, endangered animal species, and more await on our Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Day Trip. We'll spend an unforgettable day in this incredible Colombian marshland.
Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta Day Trip
At 6:30 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Santa Marta and head to the western part of the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta by minibus. This area is one of the natural sites near the municipality of Ciénaga.
We will start by visiting the mouth of the Sevilla River, where we can observe exotic birds like cormorants. This region has a large population of cormorants, particularly around Ciénaga, so please have your cameras ready.
If we are fortunate, we may also see the endangered Northern screamers, which play a vital role in the Ciénaga Grande de Santa Marta's ecosystem. We will take a closer look at the mangroves in the lagoon, which are an iconic symbol of the area.
At noon, we will enjoy a traditional lunch featuring fresh local fish. Following lunch, we will return to your hotel in Santa Marta, arriving by 2:30 pm.
Hotel Pickup
