Cienaga Stilt Housing Day Trip

At 5:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head to the dock of Islas del Rosario. From here, we'll enjoy a boat ride through the Cienaga Grande de Santa Marta, a World Biosphere Reserve a few kilometers from Cienaga.

You'll have the opportunity to admire the varied vegetation and wildlife along the lagoons that form the swamp, including small fishing villages known as ''pueblitos palafitos'' (small stilt housing villages).

Our tour will stop in one of these villages to learn about the lifestyle and ancestral customs of its people. We'll then enjoy a traditional meal based on fish or vegetables to experience local cuisine.

Finally, we will return by minibus to Santa Marta, arriving at 2:30 pm.
