Are you a lover of nature? In this bird watching activity in Minca, we'll take you to discover the amazing biodiversity of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.

Minca Bird Watching Tour

We'll pick you up at your hotel between 5 and 5:30 am to go to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a mountain range in northern Colombia. After a 45-minute drive, we'll arrive in Minca, where we'll provide an overview of the route and distribute binoculars.

After introductions, we'll start a three-hour walk along a trail while observing the nature around us. Be alert for wildlife! We might see up to 40 different types of birds, including toucans, hummingbirds, owls, and more.

You will learn about the characteristics of endemic birds of Minca, including the flycatcher and the Santa Marta parakeet, and how to distinguish between them.

After three hours of bird watching, we will return to your hotel, arriving back in Santa Marta between 9 and 9:30 am.
