Day Trip Overview

At the agreed time, we will meet you at your accommodation in Santa Marta, setting off toward the picturesque Minca, which is situated at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The ride will last around 45 minutes.

Upon reaching our destination, we'll indulge in a delightful coffee, one of Colombia's treasured exports, while we explore the complexities involved in the coffee production process. This beverage, adored worldwide, will certainly pique your curiosity as we uncover its history and method of preparation.

Next, our adventure will guide us deep into the lush tropical forest. Here, you'll enjoy a revitalizing swim in the Minca River and have the chance to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of a nearby waterfall. After these exhilarating activities, we will gather for a delightful meal at a local eatery.

We will then explore the town of Minca, where you will learn about the fascinating conversion of cocoa beans as they transform from their natural state to delightful chocolate products. Prepare to be impressed! You'll have the chance to sample different cocoa varieties and even create your own chocolate bar.

Moreover, we will pass well-known sites such as Casa Jocolate, the Perpetuo Socorro Church, the Minca Bridge, and the Oído del Mundo waterfall.

To conclude our trip, we'll soak up the breathtaking views from a scenic overlook before making our way back to Santa Marta. You can expect to return to your hotel roughly 9 hours after the initial pickup.
