At the scheduled time, a pick-up service will be available from your accommodation in Santa Marta. Our minibus will take you to the scenic mountains of the Magdalena region, setting the stage for an exhilarating day ahead.

Before reaching the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a stop will be made at a scenic viewpoint, perfect for admiring stunning vistas of the Caribbean Sea.

Upon arrival, we will enjoy a coffee paired with chocolate bread, providing a well-deserved boost of energy before we embark on our hiking trail through the rainforest. This trek, named Vereda Montecristo, will last approximately 45 minutes.

As we delve into the lush Colombian rainforest, the melodious sounds of local birds will accompany us, and we will pass by coffee plantations within the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, leading us to a captivating waterfall in the Minca River that stands over 100 metres (330 feet) tall!

It’s time to experience the thrill of abseiling. After receiving essential safety guidelines, we will gear up for this adventure. The abseiling descent at the Minca River waterfalls will take around 15 minutes, depending on individual skills and confidence levels. We will rappel down approximately 40 metres (130 feet) to reach a natural pool, ready for a refreshing swim. This promises to be a memorable experience!

Following the adrenaline rush, we will provide a delicious lunch comprising salad, a main course with a side, and a drink. With appetites satisfied and spirits lifted, we will begin our return hike.

To wrap up our day, a visit to a coffee and cocoa museum will enrich your experience. After a full 9 hours of activities, we will make our way back to Santa Marta and return you to your accommodation.
