Spend three days exploring underwater life along one of the most fantastic coastlines in Colombia on our PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course in Santa Marta. You'll become a pro at scuba diving!

Santa Marta PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course

Day 1: Theory and practice in confined waters

At the designated time, you'll meet your instructor at the entrance of the Divanga Hostel in Santa Marta. You’ll head to the facilities to receive all necessary equipment and learn essential theory about diving techniques.

You will understand how the different pieces of diving equipment work, how to put them on, position yourself underwater, use air tanks, and clear your mask. Additionally, you will learn how to communicate underwater.

Next, you’ll practice in hotel swimming pools.

Start times: 8 am or 1:30 pm

Days 2 & 3: Dives in open water

On the second and third days, you will complete a total of 4 open water dives in Tayrona Park. With your wetsuit on, you will put your diving skills to the test in the Colombian Caribbean.

During the dives, you will admire the vibrant underwater life, including groupers, moray eels, gogo turtles, hawksbill turtles, and parrot fish.

At the end of the course, you will take a final exam to obtain your official certification, allowing you to dive to a depth of 60 feet (18 meters) anywhere in the world.
