Santa Marta PADI Open Water Scuba Diving Course

Day 1: Theory and practice in confined waters

At the designated time, you'll meet your instructor at the entrance of the Divanga Hostel in Santa Marta. You'll receive all necessary equipment and essential theory about diving techniques.

You will learn how to use different diving equipment, position yourself underwater, use air tanks, and manage your mask. Additionally, you'll be taught how to communicate underwater.

Next, you'll practice these skills in the hotel swimming pools.

Start times: 8 am or 1:30 pm

Days 2 & 3: Dives in open water

On the second and third days, you'll do a total of 4 open water dives in Tayrona Park. With your wetsuit on, you'll apply your diving skills in the Colombian Caribbean.

In the crystal-clear waters off Santa Marta, you'll experience vibrant underwater life, including groupers, moray eels, gogo turtles, hawksbill turtles, and parrot fish.

At the end of the course, you will take a final exam to receive your official certification, allowing you to dive to a depth of 60 feet (18 meters) anywhere in the world.
