Santa Marta Sightseeing Tour
On our sightseeing tour of Santa Marta, we will explore the history of one of the oldest cities in the Americas as we travel by bus. Starting with a pickup from your hotel, we will visit the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, a hacienda recognized as a Shrine of the Homeland by the Colombian government and the final residence of Simón Bolívar.
We will continue our journey along the main avenues to view Santa Marta's important buildings and monuments, including the Cathedral Basilica of Santa Marta, which once housed Bolívar's remains. Currently, it contains the remains of Rodrigo Bastidas, the city's founder.
Our tour will proceed to Santa Marta Bay, where we will discuss the pre-Hispanic civilizations of the region. We will also see the Pibe Valderrama Statue, honoring one of Colombia's prominent football players.
The final stop will be at Taganga, a fishermen's neighborhood. Here, we will take a walk along the beach and enjoy views from a coastal viewpoint before returning you to your hotel. Thank you for joining us!
