Taironaka Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and start a 1-hour journey to the Don Diego River. From there, enjoy a 15-minute walk to the Taironaka Archaeological Park to explore the ancient city of Tayrona.

Stroll along trails to explore the archaeological remains of the Tairona people. See the terraces and staircases, while learning about their way of life in the 8th century.

Visit the museum to view some original pieces of pottery. Weather permitting, you may meet the Kogis, descendants of the Tairona. Enjoy free time to take a dip in the Don Diego River.

In Taironaka Park, a typical lunch will be provided, featuring churrasco (grilled beef), salad, and potatoes or rice with shrimp and tostones.

After lunch, we will return to Santa Marta and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding the tour.
