Vic, Rupit & Besalú Excursion

After pickup at your hotel in Santa Susana between 8 and 9 am, we’ll begin our journey through some of the most charming villages of Catalonia.

Traveling by comfortable minibus, we will first visit Besalú, a medieval town rich in history. We will cross the famous Old Bridge of Besalú, built in the 11th century, and explore the historic center, admiring medieval streets and façades, as well as visiting the churches of Sant Pere, Santa Maria, and Sant Vicenç and the Jewish quarter with its medieval baths.

Next, we’ll head to La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park for a short hike through a landscape featuring forests of beech, oak, and holm oak, along with extinct volcanoes and lava flows.

The tour continues to Rupit, noted as one of the most picturesque medieval villages in Catalonia. You will have an hour of free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

After regrouping, we head to Vic, passing by Cingles de Tavertet for photo opportunities. In Vic, we will stroll through the Plaza Mayor and see Gothic buildings like Casa Beuló and modern constructions such as Casa Tolosa.

Before returning to Santa Susana, we will stop at the ruins of the Palau dels Montcada, concluding the excursion at your hotel between 6 and 7 pm.
