Arapiuns River Communities Tour

At 9 am, we'll meet at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão and depart northbound by boat to the Arapiuns River. During the journey, we'll pass Ponta do Cururu, Pirañas Lake, and the Tapajós River. Our first stop will be the village of Urucurea, where we will observe the local Indigenous communities and their picturesque church. Visitors can explore on their own or attend a crafts demonstration.

Afterwards, choose between a hiking route along the creek, a wooden canoe ride, or a visit to the Amazonian beaches. Lunch will include fresh fish and wild chicken. Afterward, you can relax in a hammock. Lastly, we'll visit Ponta do Torono and Lago Grande to view the local wildlife before returning to Alter do Chão by around 7 pm.

2-day tour

The 2-day tour includes a visit to Torono and Ponta Grande Beach for a sunset and a bonfire on the beach with grilled fish. On the second day, we will visit the community of Coroca to learn about tropical turtles, bees, handicrafts, and ecotourism, followed by a typical lunch. The tour will conclude at Ucuxi Beach with a sunset view at Ponta do Cururu.

Accommodation

The 2-day tour includes 1 night's accommodation on the boat in double cabins with a private bathroom. Alternatively, you can choose to stay overnight in a cabin in the Vista Alegre community, which is not included in the tour price.
