Explore a unique environment full of extraordinary animals and plants on our Jari Canal Tour, departing from Alter do Chão into the Amazon Rainforest.

Jari Canal Tour

Join us at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão at 9 am. We'll board the boat to start our journey to the Jari Canal nature reserve. We will sail across Verde Lake and enter the Enchanted Forest with a 40-minute canoe ride. The tour continues to Ilha do Amor (Love Island), viewing Morro da Piraoca and navigating through Piranhas Lake, where you can swim at Ponta do Cururu.

At Moça Beach, enjoy fresh fruit before heading to Crocodile Lake. After a 1-hour lunch stop at Ponta de Pedras, we will reach the Jari Canal, where visitors can see Victoria Amazonica, iguanas, and various parrots, while also looking out for alligators. Our return to Alter do Chão will feature a sunset over the Amazon, with drop-off at the meeting point around 7 pm.

The boat

The boat offers four spaces and provides equipment for kayaking and paddleboarding. Onboard amenities include a barbecue and music.
