On our Maicá Lake Tour, you'll depart from Alter do Chão to explore the stunning landscapes of Brazil's Pará region.

Maicá Lake Tour

To experience a natural fish hatchery, meet us at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão. Here, we will board a boat to Maicá Lake.

During our journey along the Tapajós River, we will pass Piranhas Lake, Ponta do Cururu, Moça Beach, Crocodile Lake, and Ponta de Pedras, providing opportunities for a refreshing swim. We will visit Lake Tapari and Lake Negro, making stops for photography of the Amazon's beauty.

At approximately 1 pm, we will stop at the Casa do Saulo restaurant for a traditional lunch. After lunch, we will proceed to the confluence of the Tapajós and Amazon Rivers, home to the pink Amazon River dolphin.

Continuing, we will reach Maicá Lake, where we will navigate slowly to observe monkeys, sloths, iguanas, various tropical fish, alligators, and vibrant foliage surrounding the water.

Finally, we will return to Alter do Chão, enjoying a sunset along the way. You will be dropped off at the meeting point by 7 pm.
