On our Maicá Lake Tour, you'll set off from Alter do Chão and admire the natural beauty of a breathtaking spot in Brazil's Pará region.

If you'd like to see a natural fish hatchery up close, we'll meet you at 9 am at the Tourist Information Centre in Alter do Chão. Just a few feet away, we'll board the boat that'll take us to Maicá Lake.

As we travel through the Tapajós River, we'll pass by Piranhas Lake, Ponta do Cururu, Moça Beach, Crocodile Lake, and Ponta de Pedras, where you can take a dip. Afterwards, we'll head to Lake Tapari and Lake Negro, making stops for photo opportunities of the Amazon.

At around 1 pm, we'll stop at the Casa do Saulo restaurant for lunch. Following lunch, we'll visit the point where the Tapajós and Amazon Rivers meet to see the pink Amazon River dolphin.

We will then arrive at Maicá Lake, moving slowly through the water to spot monkeys, sloths, iguanas, tropical fish, alligators, and lush greenery contrasting with the water's color.

We'll return to Alter do Chão and enjoy a sunset. You'll be dropped off back at the meeting point for 7 pm.

What is the boat like?

You will be on board a boat with four different areas, equipped for kayaking and paddle surfing, with barbecue and music available.
