Guided Tour of Santarem

We'll commence our journey at your preferred time in the Garden of the Republic, setting off on a guided exploration of Santarém that leads to fascinating attractions and delightful nooks!

As we navigate through what is known as the Gothic capital of Portugal, we will make our way to the church of Santo Milagro, renowned for an extraordinary incident from 1266. Nearby, we'll visit the stately church of Santa Maria da Graça, where you can pay your respects at the tomb of Pedro Álvarez Cabral, the pioneer who discovered Brazil.

Our route will also take us by the convent of São João de Alporão and the impressive Pumpkin Tower, which stands 70 feet tall and is recognized as a National Monument. Here, you will learn the intriguing story behind its distinctive name.

Following this, we will pass through the historic medieval gate of São Tiago and reach the picturesque Portas do Sol garden. Here, remnants of the old Muslim citadel's wall can be found, along with breathtaking views of the Tagus River that are sure to leave you in awe.

After an enriching two-hour experience, our tour will conclude at Portas do Sol.
