We will meet up at the time of your choice in the Garden of the Republic to begin a guided tour of Santarém, a route that will take us to fascinating places and charming corners.

We will walk through the so-called Gothic capital of Portugal until we reach the church of Santo Milagro, named after an event from 1266. Close to this temple is the church of Santa Maria da Graça where we will see the tomb of Pedro Álvarez Cabral, the discoverer of Brazil.

We will also pass the convent of São João de Alporão and the 70-foot high Pumpkin Tower, a National Monument. Here you will learn about the origin of its name.

Next, we will stroll through the medieval gate of São Tiago and arrive at the Portas do Sol garden, which features remains of the old Muslim citadel wall. The panoramic views of the Tagus River from the viewpoint will be a highlight.

After a two-hour adventure, our tour will conclude in Portas do Sol.
