Camino de Santiago: The Final Stage
Meet at the scheduled time on Rúa de Tras Salomé to board a vehicle to Lavacolla.
At Lavacolla, you will receive a hat, a trekking pole, and a map for the final section of the Camino de Santiago. You will trek from the church in Lavacolla to Monte do Gozo, where you will see the cathedral in Santiago. Your guide will provide information about the route and its history, including figures representing Pope John Paul II and statues of pilgrims pointing to Santiago.
After the explanation at Monte do Gozo, continue your trek to Santiago. Your guide will meet you at the Praza do Obradoiro for further historical information and to present you with a certificate confirming the completion of this stage. The tour concludes at the Holy Door of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, after 3 to 3.5 hours.
Important
The guide will accompany you at Lavacolla, Monte do Gozo, and Praza do Obradoiro to explain the history of these locations. However, you will complete the trek between these points (final 6.2 miles of the Camino de Santiago) independently. The provided accreditation is not an official Certificate of Distance or completion issued by the Pilgrim's Reception Office.
