Day Trip Details

We'll meet in front of the Capilla del Pilar and depart from Santiago de Compostela heading northeast. After a road journey, we'll arrive in Lugo, known for its preserved walls, measuring more than 7,000 feet long.

In Lugo, we will have a guided tour of the historic center for an hour and a half. Highlights include the cathedral of Santa María, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the well-preserved Roman wall encircling the old town.

Next, we’ll visit the Cathedrals beach, named for its rocky formations resembling the flying buttresses of Gothic shrines. We’ll explore the beach during low tide, allowing us to walk under the arches, which reach over 100 feet high.

Continuing, we’ll visit Ribadeo, near Cathedrals beach. Here, we will see the neoclassical Casa Consistorial and other notable monuments. Participants will have free time to enjoy Galician cuisine.

After this visit, we will return to the bus for the trip back to Santiago de Compostela, concluding the excursion.
