We'll meet at 11 am at the entrance to the Museo do Pobo Galego, a key museum for Galician culture.
The tour begins with an introduction to the old convent of Santo Domingo de Bonaval, which houses the museum and is the resting place of notable Galicians such as Rosalía de Castro, Ramón Cabanillas, and Castelao.
During the tour, we will explore the museum's rooms, learning about typical crops, traditional costumes, and Galicia's seafaring heritage. Highlights include Galician boats, wooden clogs, and the craftsmanship of the palilleiras from Camariñas.
Participants will also view Galician tambourines and bagpipes in the traditional music room and visit the triple baroque helicoidal staircase, known for its unique architecture.
The tour concludes with a visit to the church of the old convent of Santo Domingo, wrapping up after two hours at the Museo do Pobo Galego.
