Rías Baixas, Arosa Island & Combarro Day Trip
- 10 Stunden
Admire enchanting scenery on our day trip to Galicia's famous Rías Baixas. We'll also visit beautiful places such as Padrón, Arosa Island, Cambados, La Toja and Combarro. Additionally, you'll be able to take a boat trip and taste mussels.
Description
You'll be picked up at the indicated time from Rua dos Bautizados, 12 in Santiago de Compostela, and head to Padrón. Here, we will visit the church dedicated to the apostle St. James, where the "Pedrón" stone is located. After a 30-minute tour, we will continue southbound.
Next, we arrive at the Pontevedra estuary: the smallest of the Rías Baixas. In Combarro, we'll see traditional Galician hórreos and have free time to eat and take a boat ride with mussel tasting.
Our next stop is the island of La Toja, where we'll visit the renowned Chapel of the Shells. After enjoying the island, we'll head to Cambados for leisure time in the capital of Albariño wine.
Finally, we will go to the island of Arousa for more leisure time before returning to the meeting point in Santiago de Compostela, approximately ten hours after the start.
Boat trip with mussel tasting
You can enhance your experience with a boat trip along the Rías Baixas lasting 1 hour 15 minutes. See mussel beds and enjoy a mussel tasting with a choice of local wine or soft drinks.
In low season (April, May, June, and October), the boat departs from the port of O Grove; in high season (July, August, September) from the marina in Combarro. Non-participants will have free time in O Grove or Combarro.
After the boat trip, we will return to Santiago de Compostela, concluding the ten-hour tour.
