Admire enchanting scenery on our day trip to Galicia's famous Rías Baixas. We'll also visit beautiful places such as Padrón, Arosa Island, Cambados, La Toja, and Combarro. You will have the opportunity to take a boat trip and taste mussels.
Description
Pickup will be at the specified time from Rua dos Bautizados, 12 in Santiago de Compostela. We will first visit Padrón, known as the gateway to the Rías Baixas. A historical site, we will see the church dedicated to St. James and the "Pedrón". After a 30-minute tour, we will proceed south.
Next, we will arrive at the Pontevedra estuary and Combarro, where we will view traditional Galician hórreos. Here, there will be free time for lunch and a boat ride with mussel tasting.
We will then continue to the island of La Toja to visit the renowned Chapel of the Shells and enjoy the scenic landscapes. Our next destination will be Cambados, allowing free time to explore this town, known for Albariño wine.
We conclude at the island of Arousa, offering free time for swimming, drinks, or walking. After ten hours of touring, we will return to the meeting point in Santiago de Compostela.
Boat trip with mussel tasting
Optionally, enjoy a boat trip along the Rías Baixas lasting 1 hour 15 minutes, featuring mussel beds and a mussel tasting with local wine or soft drinks. Departures in April, May, June, and October are from the port of O Grove. During July, August, and September, departures are from the marina in Combarro. Those not opting for the boat will have free time in O Grove or Combarro. Post trip, we will return to Santiago de Compostela after ten hours of touring.
