Let yourself be enchanted by the beautiful Rías Baixas on this excursion from Santiago de Compostela. You'll enjoy a boat trip on the Pontevedra Estuary and a tasting of local wine and mussels.
Rías Baixas Day Trip
After meeting at the designated time on Rúa dos Bautizados in Santiago de Compostela, we will depart towards Pontevedra, the provincial capital.
We will embark on a guided tour of the historic centre of Pontevedra, noted for its well-preserved medieval architecture. Highlights include the Gothic ruins of the Convent of Santo Domingo and the Renaissance features in Praza da Ferraría and the Basilica of Santa María a Maior.
Next, we will proceed to the port of Combarro to begin our boat trip across the Ría de Pontevedra. The cruise will showcase coastal landscapes and Tambo Island, known for its eucalyptus plantations. We will enjoy a wine tasting with mussels during the tour.
After docking in Combarro, you will have around 2 hours of free time for lunch in the town. In the afternoon, we will visit the Chapel of the Virgen de la Lanzada for panoramic views of the longest beach of the Rías Baixas.
We will conclude our trip with a walking tour of Cambados, the capital of Albariño wine, to view the Igrexa de San Bieito church and the Pazo de Fefiñáns, a 16th-century palace.
We will return from Cambados to Santiago, arriving approximately 10 hours after the start time.
