Let yourself be enchanted by the beautiful Rías Baixas on this excursion from Santiago de Compostela. You'll enjoy a boat trip on the Pontevedra Estuary and a tasting of local wine and mussels.
Rías Baixas Day Trip
After meeting up at the indicated time on Rúa dos Bautizados in Santiago de Compostela, we'll set off on our route towards Pontevedra, the capital of the province of the same name.
We'll embark on a guided tour of the historic centre of Pontevedra, exploring its Medieval monumental complex, including the Gothic ruins of the Convent of Santo Domingo and the Renaissance Praza da Ferraría and Basilica of Santa María a Maior.
Next, we will head to the port of Combarro, where a boat will be waiting. We'll set sail across the Ría de Pontevedra, passing lush coastal landscapes and Tambo Island. During the cruise, we will enjoy a wine tasting with mussels, a local delicacy.
After docking in Combarro, you will have around 2 hours of free time for lunch in this picturesque town. In the afternoon, we will visit the Chapel of the Virgen de la Lanzada for panoramic views of the longest beach of the Rías Baixas.
Finally, we will have a walking tour of Cambados, the capital of Albariño wine, where we will see the Igrexa de San Bieito church and the Pazo de Fefiñáns, a 16th-century palace.
At the end of the day, we will return from Cambados to Santiago, arriving back approximately 10 hours after the start time.
