Camino de Santiago: The Final Stage

After meeting at the scheduled time on Rúa de Tras Salomé, you will be transported to the town of Lavacolla.

In Lavacolla, you will receive a hat, a trekking pole, and a map for the final section of the Camino de Santiago. You will then proceed to enjoy this experience independently.

Starting from the church in Lavacolla, your destination is Monte do Gozo. Here, you will see the first glimpse of the cathedral in Santiago. Your guide will provide historical context and details about the various figures representing Pope John Paul II and two giant statues of pilgrims that indicate the path to Santiago.

Continuing your journey to Santiago, your guide will meet you at the Praza do Obradoiro to offer further historical insights about this monumental square. You will receive a certificate acknowledging the completion of this stage of the Camino, finishing at the Holy Door of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela after a total duration of 3 to 3.5 hours.

The guide will accompany you at Lavacolla, Monte do Gozo, and Praza do Obradoiro to share historical anecdotes. However, you will trek the final 6.2 miles between these points independently, without guidance. The certificate provided is not an official Certificate of Distance or completion from the Pilgrim's Reception Office.
