Tour to Muxía and Fisterra

On this excursion to Muxía and Fisterra, we will explore two towns of the Costa da Morte. We will visit the viewpoint of the End of the World and discover the connections between the apostle Santiago and these lands.

At the designated time, we will meet at Rúa dos Bautizados in Santiago de Compostela. From there, we will board a bus to start the excursion to Muxía and Fisterra. Our first stop will be at the lighthouse of Fisterra, built in the mid-19th century, located at the viewpoint of the End of the World, which is also the supposed kilometer 0 of the Camino de Santiago.

After enjoying views of the Costa da Morte for about an hour, we will take a bus to the town of Fisterra. Guests will have an hour and 15 minutes of free time to have lunch and explore the town. Options include strolling around the port, visiting the 12th-century church of Nuestra Señora de las Arenas, or admiring the castle of San Carlos.

Our next destination will be Muxía, where we will visit the sanctuary of the Virgen de la Barca with our guide. We will reveal its significance related to the Camino de Santiago and discuss the magical-religious value of the large stones next to the temple.

We will conclude the excursion by returning to the starting point 6.5 hours later.
