Aconcagua Park Trip
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and head north from Santiago. After approximately 50 minutes, we will stop at the monument to the Chacabuco victory, allowing you some free time to have breakfast.
We continue to the Salto del Soldado, a large ravine where the Aconcagua river flows below. According to legend, a patriot soldier escaped persecution here by jumping over the canyon.
The tour then crosses the border into Argentina, where we will take a brief pause to enjoy a traditional drink and empanada, a typical treat made with caramel and shortbread biscuits covered in coconut.
Next, we arrive at Aconcagua Park, where we will set off on a two-hour trek around the foot of the highest mountain in the Americas, reaching over 22,000 feet.
After the trek, you will have free time to eat and regain your strength. We will then return to Santiago, making a stop at Laguna del Inca lake in the Portillo region. Local folklore claims this lake was formed by the tears of an Inca prince mourning his bride. It is said that laments can be heard from the water on dark winter nights.
The tour concludes in the late afternoon when we drop you off back at your hotel.
