Birdwatching in Huacarpay Lake

If you love ornithology and are in Cusco, you can't miss this birdwatching activity at Huacarpay Lake, a wetland with great Andean biodiversity.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and head to Huacarpay Lake, renowned for spotting Andean birds.

During the trip, we'll pause for a breakfast. Upon arrival at Huacarpay Lake, we will take a short walk to the first viewpoint.

This cabin allows us to observe birds such as the great crested grebe, torrent ducks, Chilean flamingos, and Andean gulls. Be keenly observant!

We will continue walking to the southwest side of the lake to spot the bearded mountaineer hummingbird, one of the few locations for this sighting. We will also share information about the lake's flora. This experience will be memorable.

After capturing stunning photos, we will return you to your hotel 6 hours after the activity starts.
