Day Trip to Cajón del Maipo

On this day trip to Cajón del Maipo from Santiago de Chile, we will explore the El Yeso Reservoir, located in the Andes mountains.

Day Trip Details

Pickup will be from your hotel in Santiago, followed by a journey through the Cajón del Maipo. Our first stop is Plaza San José de Maipo, a town known for its colonial architecture. Here, you will experience local culture. Next, we will arrive at the Cajón del Maipo Gorge, famous for its stunning Andean landscapes featuring mountains and blue waters.

We will then proceed to the El Yeso Dam, where you can admire the turquoise water surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Situated at 2,500 meters (8,202 ft) above sea level, this reservoir offers panoramic views of the landscape.

Our final stop will be La Casa de Chocolate for a sweet treat before concluding the trip. The return to Santiago will occur approximately 10 hours after the initial pickup.
