Embark on an unforgettable journey through the landscape, marveling at enormous, stone statues during the Abode of the Gods Day Trip. Departing from Cusco, you will encounter sculptures soaring over 30 feet as you explore this remarkable site.
Abode of the Gods Day Trip
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Cusco hotel at 9 am, as we head north towards the charming town of Sencca. After approximately 45 minutes of travel, we will arrive at Apukunaq Tianan, the Abode of the Gods.
Upon your arrival, prepare to be captivated by this stunning collection of massive sculptures intricately carved from limestone. As we wander through the Abode of the Gods, you will uncover the significance of this location and the remarkable statues surrounding you, some reaching heights of up to 33 feet (10 meters).
You will have the opportunity to admire sculptures such as the puma, the three-dimensional door, the protective Apu, along with God Wiracocha and Pachamama. The viewpoint here allows for breathtaking vistas of the city and its breathtaking landscape. Throughout the visit, your guide will reveal intriguing insights into Andean cosmology and the historical context of the Inca civilization.
At the conclusion of our excursion, we will return to Cusco, where you will be dropped off in the main square around 12 noon.
