Follow in the footsteps of Pablo Neruda and be seduced by the deep blue Pacific ocean crashing against the rocky coastline of Isla Negra. Besides visiting the famous poet's house, we will also discover a traditional village with a rich artisan heritage.

Isla Negra and Pomaire Trip

After collecting you from your hotel at 8 am, we will head to a stretch of coastline in central Chile known as Isla Negra.

Pablo Neruda owned three homes in Chile, but his favorite was here in Isla Negra. We will visit this house, which resembles a boat. Inside you will discover nautical memorabilia, such as figureheads, sailboat replicas, model boats in ancient bottles, seashells, and whale teeth. These objects contribute to the poetry of the Nobel Prize winner.

After learning about Neruda's final residence, we will see the graves of the poet and his muse, Matilde Urrutia, on a clifftop overlooking the Pacific ocean.

On the way back to Santiago, we will visit Pomaire, a small town known for its artisan pottery. Here, you will learn about clay art and admire the smooth, red-toned ceramic artworks. You will have some free time to eat in one of the local restaurants.

Finally, we will visit the Viña Undurraga winery, where we will taste the fruits of their more than 130 years of winemaking history.

After exploring Isla Negra and Pomaire, we will return to Santiago, arriving at your hotel around 4 pm.
