Machu Picchu Day Trip

Pickup will be from your hotel in Cusco, heading to the train station for the journey to Machu Picchu. Enjoy a remarkable railway ride through scenic landscapes to Aguas Calientes, followed by a 30-minute bus ride to the Lost City of the Incas.

Upon arrival, we will commence our guided visit of Machu Picchu, exploring significant landmarks while learning about the Inca culture. After the visit, enjoy free time for lunch in Aguas Calientes, with 2-5 hours available depending on the train schedule.

We will then return to Cusco, with hotel drop-off occurring between 14 to 18 hours after departure.

Types of Train

The tour utilizes panoramic trains featuring large windows and glass roofs, with options for economy class (Expedition or Voyager train) or first class (Vistadome or The 360º train).

Departure Stations and Transfers

Trains to Cusco depart from either Poroy station (30 minutes from Cusco) or Ollantaytambo station (1.5 hours from Cusco), depending on availability. Note that Poroy is closed from December to March due to the rainy season.

Post-booking, you'll receive an email detailing pickup times and train schedules based on your Machu Picchu entrance ticket.

Pickup Info

Pickup happens between 4 am and 6 am from historic centre hotels. If located outside the centre, the meeting point is at the Cathedral, Plaza de Armas. Confirmation of pickup time will be provided days before the trip.

If the activity is canceled due to strikes or weather conditions, an alternative date will be offered. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
