Machu Picchu Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to head straight for the train station to the archaeological site of Machu Picchu. Experience one of the Seven Wonders of the World!

Enjoy one of the world's most spectacular railway rides, arriving at Aguas Calientes. We'll then board a bus for a 30-minute ride to the Lost City of the Incas.

Upon entering the site, our guided visit of Machu Picchu begins, exploring significant landmarks and the symbolism of Inca culture. After this immersive experience, we'll return to Aguas Calientes for free time to enjoy a local lunch for 2-5 hours.

Finally, we'll return to Cusco, arriving at your hotel between 14 to 18 hours later.

Types of Train

The excursion uses panoramic trains with large windows. Options include economy class (Expedition or Voyager train) and first class (Vistadome or The 360º train).

Departure Stations and Transfers

Trains to Cusco can depart from Poroy station (30 minutes from Cusco) or Ollantaytambo station (1.5 hours from Cusco), depending on availability. During the rainy season (December to March), we'll go by bus to Ollantaytambo.

After booking, we'll email you with the pickup time at your hotel and the train station details.

The transfer durations vary: about 4 hours from Poroy and 1.5 hours from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes.

Pickup Info

Pickup occurs between 4 am and 6 am from hotels in central Cusco. For accommodations outside the center, we'll meet at the Cathedral in Plaza de Armas. Pickup time will be confirmed prior.

If the activity is canceled due to strikes or weather, an alternative date will be provided. If rescheduling isn't possible, you will be fully refunded.
