On this private excursion from Cusco, we'll visit the salt mines of Maras, the circular terraces of Moray, and the community of Misminay.

Maras Excursion with Salt Massage + Moray & Misminay

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Cusco between 8 and 8:30 am to start the excursion to three major attractions in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

After introductions, we'll visit the town of Maras with its colonial houses. Here, we will explore the salt mines and salt ponds, which date back to Inca times.

We will then proceed to the indigenous community of Misminay for a welcome snack, where we will learn about the local lifestyle centered around agriculture and textiles. A lunch consisting of a starter, main course, and drink will follow.

Next, we will hike to a viewpoint for the archaeological center of Moray. At nearly 11,500 feet (3,500 meters) above sea level, we find circular platforms and will share insights into its significance during the Inca Empire.

Upon our return, a massage with Maras salt awaits us. Community members will explain its health benefits while we enjoy a medicinal foot bath with these salts and various herbs.

After eight hours, we will conclude the excursion and return to your hotel in Peru.
