On this private excursion from Cusco, we will visit the salt mines of Maras, the circular terraces of Moray, and the community of Misminay.

Maras Excursion with Salt Massage + Moray & Misminay

Between 8 and 8:30 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Cusco to start the excursion to three attractions in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We will first visit the town of Maras, known for its colonial façades. Here, we will explore the salt mines and salt ponds, which have origins dating back to Inca times.

Next, we will head to the community of Misminay for a welcome snack and learn about local agricultural and textile practices. A lunch consisting of a starter, a main course, and a drink will be provided.

We will then hike to a viewpoint to see the archaeological center of Moray, located at nearly 11,500 feet (3,500 meters) above sea level. Here, we will explore the amphitheater of circular platforms and discuss its functions during the Inca Empire.

Upon our return, a massage with Maras salt will be available, where community members will explain its health benefits while we enjoy a medicinal foot bath with these salts and herbs.

Finally, after eight hours, we will conclude the excursion back at your hotel in Cusco.
