- 1 Bewertung
Explore one of the colorful mountains of Peru with this hiking tour through Pallay Punchu in the Cusco area.
Trip Description
You will be picked up at your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time to begin the trek to the mountain of the Seven Colors. After 1.5 hours of travel, there will be a stop at a restaurant in Collca for a breakfast buffet. The journey continues for 2 more hours through the Laguni Lagoon before arriving at Layo for photography.
From Layo, a 15-minute drive leads to the starting point for the hike to the Pallay Punchu mountain, which takes between 45 minutes and 2 hours. The name means "poncho of colors," reflecting its vibrant hues reminiscent of a Peruvian garment.
The trekking route features landscapes of the Pallay Punchu, Pasñawarcuna, Apu Tagllo, and Condorsllana mountains. At the summit known as Condor Sayana, at 4,850 meters (almost 16,000 feet), you will have panoramic views of the Layo and Laguni districts, with communities around the lagoon and the Tres Cañones mountains of Suykutambo.
After the hike, the return journey to Cusco includes another stop at Collca for a lunch buffet, concluding the 14-hour trip at Plaza Regocijo.
