Portillo & Inca Lagoon Day Trip Itinerary

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Santiago de Chile and head north of the capital, traveling along the Los Libertadores highway.

We will make a brief stop to admire Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. Continuing our ascent into the Andes, we will reach one of the most impressive viewpoints in the area, providing a stunning view of the Salto del Soldado Canyon, a site linked to an important moment in Chile’s history. If conditions permit, we may also see condors soaring above!

Back on the minibus, we will drive through the Rio Blanco National Reserve and navigate the winding Los Caracoles pass before arriving at the iconic Laguna del Inca, located near the Argentine border. The charm of this lagoon, surrounded by the Andes, is complemented by the famous stories associated with it—would you like to hear them? We will enjoy a tasty empanada snack while taking in the surroundings.

After approximately 40 minutes at the lagoon, we will proceed to our final destination: the Portillo ski resort, a premier location for winter sports and home to the oldest ski hotel in South America.

Before returning, we will stop at the San Esteban Winery to explore the Aconcagua Valley and experience a delightful wine tasting.

After a day filled with the natural wonders of Portillo, we will return to your hotel in Santiago, approximately 10 hours after our journey began.

On Sundays, the wine tasting and vineyard tours will take place at Ventisquero.
