2 Day Hike from Barreirinhas to Atins

Day 1: Barreirinhas - Baixa Grande

Between 2:45 and 3 am, we will pick you up from your hotel to start this two-day trek from Barreirinhas to Atins.

We will board a ferry which will take us across the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park to begin the hike. For seven hours, we will walk along trails through the sand dunes until we reach the village of Baixa Grande, where we will spend the night with a local family.

Day 2: Baixa Grande - Atins

After breakfast, we will continue the trekking route through the park, visiting freshwater lagoons and dunes, until we reach the mouth of the Rio Negro. This hike will take around three hours.

A 4x4 vehicle will be waiting to take you to Atins, where we will arrive by 11 am and drop you at your chosen location.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation with breakfast in a hammock at the home of a local family.
