Description
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Barreirinhas and take you to the Preguiças River, where we'll board a speedboat and sail towards Tapuio.
Our first stop will be to learn about the artisan process of making manioc flour, which is widely used in Maranhão cuisine. This product and its production have become the main economic activity of this town.
Next, we'll sail for 40 minutes until we reach the House of Artisan Women of Marcelino. This community is dedicated to the craft of the buriti palm tree.
The women of this community treat the fibers of this plant to create pieces of craftsmanship. You'll have the opportunity to purchase artisan souvenirs such as traditional bags, paintings, and other objects.
We finish the tour by taking you back to your hotel in Barreirinhas, with a total duration of three hours.
