Tour Overview

When you make your reservation, you can select between two distinct tour options showcasing different areas of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. Both choices encompass hotel pickup and drop-off, transportation in an off-roading vehicle, and a dedicated Portuguese-speaking guide, along with entry to the park.

4-Hour Tour

We will embark in an off-road vehicle towards the pier in Barreirinhas, where we will board a ferry complete with the vehicle to traverse the Preguiças River. Next, we will continue on the off-roading vehicle for approximately 50 minutes to appreciate the vast dunes and stunning lakes of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.

We will have opportunities to halt at the dunes and admire the lagoons from unique vantage points. Later, we will descend into the refreshing rainwater ponds nestled among towering sand walls. Then, in the late afternoon, we will ascend the tallest dune to soak in the breathtaking sunset in this picturesque locale.

9-Hour Tour

For those wishing to immerse themselves in the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park throughout the day, this tour is ideal. We will commence with a scenic journey through the captivating landscapes of the Lençóis Maranhenses. Our adventure will begin by heading toward Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Bonita, both remarkable destinations.

Our first stop will be at the Lagoa Azul, a haven of clear waters providing a serene escape from urban life. After enjoying a swim in this enchanting locale, we will continue to Lagoa Bonita, where you will have the freedom to enjoy lunch at your leisure.

Post-lunch, we will explore the surroundings of the lagoon, including a climb to the tall dunes encircling the area, offering ample opportunities for photos. As time moves on, the setting sun will cast beautiful orange tones across the sky, creating a mesmerizing moment.

Following the mesmerizing sunset, we will journey back to Barreirinhas, concluding our tour approximately nine hours later.
