Tour Details

At your chosen time, we'll meet in front of the Royal House Museum to start our guided tour of Santo Domingo's Ciudad Colonial. During the tour, we'll explore symbolic spots in the oldest part of the Dominican capital.

We will first visit the Basilica Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, the oldest cathedral in North America, constructed by Charles V. Next, we'll see the Fortaleza Ozama, the oldest fort built by Europeans in America.

Afterward, we will stroll along Las Damas Street and stop at the House of Rodrigo Bastidas, a founder of several South American cities, along with the former residences of Nicolás de Ovando and Dávila as we continue learning about the colonial era.

We'll then visit the National Pantheon, the Royal House Museum, and the Plaza de España, home to the iconic Alcazar de Colón.

After 2 hours of exploring Santo Domingo's history, we will conclude the tour.
