Tour Details

At your chosen time, we'll meet in front of the Royal House Museum and start our guided tour of Santo Domingo's Ciudad Colonial. During the tour, we'll explore key locations in the oldest part of the Dominican capital.

First, we'll visit the Basilica Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, the oldest cathedral in North America, followed by the Fortaleza Ozama, the first fort built by Europeans in America.

Next, we'll walk along Las Damas Street to see the House of Rodrigo Bastidas, a founder of several South American cities. We will also view the former residences of Nicolás de Ovando and Dávila, continuing our exploration of the colonial era in Santo Domingo.

Afterwards, we'll visit the National Pantheon, the Royal House Museum, and the Plaza de España, where the Alcazar de Colón is situated.

After 2 hours of exploring the history of Santo Domingo, we'll conclude the tour.
