Workshop options

At Kahkow Experience, located in Santo Domingo's Zona Colonial, various workshops are available based on preferences. Participants will meet on Calle Las Damas at the chosen time.

Chocolate workshop (20 minutes)

This workshop includes a visit to Kahkow Experience to learn about the chocolate industry in the Dominican Republic. Participants will observe the journey of cocoa beans from cultivation to chocolate production, including demonstrations of the machines used in the process. Each attendee will create their own chocolate bar as a souvenir.

Chocolate workshop + Documentary & cacao farm (30 minutes)

This option features a documentary about the unique properties of chocolate and the history of cacao. Following the documentary, participants will visit a cacao plantation to learn about typical cacao farms in the Dominican Republic, including drying and fermentation rooms. The experience concludes with a chocolate tasting using the 5 senses and creating a personal chocolate bar.

Chocolate workshop + Cook with the chef (2 hours)

This workshop begins with an exploration of chocolate's origins and production processes, followed by a demonstration of chocolate tempering. Participants will then prepare various chocolate dishes under the guidance of an expert chef, including chocolate figures, decorated chocolates, brownies, and coated fruits. The workshop ends with tasting the creations made.
