Santo Domingo Food Tour
At 9 am, we'll meet at Plaza Pellerano Castro. From here, we'll start a walking tour through the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. The tour features traditional flavors of the Dominican capital.
As we explore iconic places such as the Panteon de la Patria and the Catedral Primada de America, we will discuss traditional dishes, including quipe, a pastry of Lebanese origin brought by immigrants to the southern Dominican Republic.
Participants will enjoy a selection of seasonal fruits and sweets, and we will also visit Santo Domingo's Chinatown for a taste of its famous recipes, including a Chinese steamed bun.
Additionally, we'll stop by the Mercado Modelo, the largest market in the city, and visit locations like the Museo Casa de Tostado, Parque de la Independencia, and Little Haiti. The tour concludes with a stop at Isabel La Catolica Street for a Dominican beer. Cheers!
Finally, at 12 pm, we'll end the tour at Parque Colon.
