On this tour of Three Eyes National Park, we'll visit one of the great tourist attractions of Santo Domingo and go on a boat ride on one of the lagoons – not to be missed!
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up in front of the San Francisco ruins in the Plaza de España to embark on an exploration of the Three Eyes (Los Tres Ojos) National Park.
Upon arrival, we'll venture into one of the Dominican Republic's renowned underground caves, which housed three natural lakes resembling "Three Eyes" ("Tres Ojos"). Discovered in 1916, this cave is believed to have served as a ceremonial site for indigenous people.
While touring the Three Eyes, we'll admire the diverse fauna inhabiting the area, including a wide variety of fish and bats. The cave's rocky walls showcase the island's largest species of fern, which can reach heights of up to 4 meters.
Next, we'll take a short boat ride on a fourth lagoon and learn about the famous movies filmed here.
Finally, after 2 hours of exploring, we'll end the tour by returning to the meeting point.
