Tour of Three Eyes National Park

During this expedition to the Three Eyes National Park, attendees will explore one of Santo Domingo's premier attractions and enjoy a serene boat journey across one of the lagoons – an experience not to be overlooked!

Description

At the scheduled time, we will meet you near the San Francisco ruins located in Plaza de España, setting the stage for our adventure through the Three Eyes (Los Tres Ojos) National Park. Are you eager to uncover this extraordinary treasure in Santo Domingo?

Upon reaching the park, we will delve into one of the Dominican Republic's famous subterranean caverns, formed by the movement of rivers, creating three distinct natural lakes that resemble "Three Eyes" ("Tres Ojos"). Discovered in 1916, this cave is thought to have been a central location for the indigenous population's ceremonial practices and sacrifices.

As we navigate the Three Eyes, participants will have the opportunity to observe the rich wildlife that thrives in this oasis of crystalline waters, featuring a variety of fish and bats. The cave's rugged walls also host the largest fern species on the island, some of which can grow up to 4 meters tall.

Following this, we will embark on a brief boat excursion on a fourth lagoon, learning about the notable films shot in this scenic environment!

After two hours of discovery, we will conclude our journey by returning to our initial meeting spot.
