On this tour of Three Eyes National Park, we'll visit a key tourist attraction of Santo Domingo and enjoy a boat ride on one of the lagoons.
Description
At the specified time, we'll pick you up in front of the San Francisco ruins in the Plaza de España to begin our exploration of the Three Eyes (Los Tres Ojos) National Park. Prepare to discover this unique site in Santo Domingo.
Upon arrival, we'll explore one of the Dominican Republic's renowned underground caves, formed by rising rivers, creating three natural lakes resembling "Three Eyes" ("Tres Ojos"). Discovered in 1916, this cave is believed to have been a gathering place for indigenous people for ceremonial rituals and sacrifices.
During the tour, we will observe the diverse fauna living in this area of crystal-clear waters, including a variety of fish and bats. The cave's rocky walls also feature the largest species of fern on the island, reaching up to 4 meters in height.
We will then enjoy a short boat ride on a fourth lagoon and learn about the famous movies filmed in this location.
After 2 hours of exploration, we will conclude the tour by returning to the meeting point.
