If you're in Portonovo, the Cíes Islands are a must-visit. Meet at Rúa Rafael Pico where the ferry departs at the indicated time. You will have the entire day to explore this Galician enclave, recognized as one of Spain's treasures. The Romans referred to it as the Islands of the Gods. Activities include hiking and enjoying long beaches, with a recommendation to visit Rodas beach.

Return to the port by 7 pm for the ferry back to Portonovo.

If interested in returning another day, indicate this during booking. Camping on the islands requires authorization from the Galician Government.

Guided tours in low season

In low season (October 1 - May 14), the ticket includes a 1-hour guided tour, as solo visits are prohibited. The guide will accompany you during the boat trip and show the main routes upon docking. Key anecdotes regarding the history and ecology will be shared. Note that this tour is not offered during the high season of Holy Week.

Authorization from the Xunta de Galicia

In high season (May 15 - September 30, and during Easter), you must bring your own authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to access the islands. This will be emailed to you. During the rest of the year, the guide will handle this.

Authorization for campers

If camping on the islands, the campsite must process your authorization. To cancel, first contact the campsite, which must confirm the cancellation before you can approach the shipping company. An authorization linked to a shipping company cannot be transferred. Therefore, canceling your reservation entails canceling the authorization and reapplying.
