Boat Tour Details

If you're in Portonovo, visit the Cíes Islands. Meet at Rúa Rafael Pico at the indicated time for the ferry departure. You have the entire day to explore this Galician enclave, known as one of Spain's finest treasures. The Romans referred to it as the Islands of the Gods.

On the Cies Islands, activities include hiking and enjoying long beaches and clear waters. Rodas Beach is highly recommended for its beauty.

Be at the port by 7 pm for the return ferry to Portonovo.

Want To Return Another Day?

If you wish to return on another day, indicate this during booking. For camping on the islands, prior authorization from the Galician Government is required.

Guided Tours in Low Season

During low season (October 1 - May 14), tickets include a 1-hour guided tour, as independent visits are prohibited. The guide will accompany you from the departure port and during walks, providing insights into the history and ecology of the archipelago. This service is not available during the 10 days of high season for Holy Week.

Authorization From the Xunta de Galicia

In high season (May 15 - September 30 and during Easter week), bring your own authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to access the Cíes Islands. Authorization will be sent via email; it is not provided during the rest of the year as a guide will facilitate it on the tour day.

Authorization for Campers

Campers must have the campsite process the authorization, or cancel it if needed. If not canceled, the shipping company cannot refund your boat tickets. To cancel your trip, contact the campsite first and confirm the cancellation before reaching out to the shipping company for ticket cancellation within the refund period. Once an authorization is linked to a shipping company, it cannot be transferred to another company. Canceling a reservation requires authorization cancellation and reprocessing for new bookings.
