Ons Island Ferry
The Maritime-Terrestrial Natural Park of the Atlantic Islands is a protected area off the coast of Galicia. The trip begins at the Juan Carlos I Marina before boarding the ferry to Ons Island.
Wild beaches with white sand and turquoise waters are located just 40 minutes by boat from Sanxenxo, offering an alternative to the popular Cíes Islands.
During your visit to Ons Island, you'll enjoy the sea breeze, Atlantic waters, and beautiful landscapes. If desired, you can sample the region's fresh fish at local restaurants.
Return Ferry Times
When booking, indicate your desired return time from Ons Island, selecting from the available schedules. If you plan to return on another day, include this information during booking. Camping requires prior authorization from the Xunta de Galicia.
Authorization to visit Ons Island
Ons Island is a protected area with a daily visitor quota. You must obtain authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to visit. During high season (from 15 May to 15 September and at Easter), personal authorization is required. This will be emailed to you. Outside of high season, the tour guide will bring it on the day of the visit.
If a participant cannot attend, provide at least 15 days' notice, including their name, so they can be removed from the Xunta de Galicia list.
Guided Tour of Ons Island
From 1st October to 14th May, the ferry ticket includes a one-hour guided tour of the island, except during the Easter season from the Friday before Easter to Easter Sunday.
