At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Francisco Carrusca cork factory to start this guided tour, located on the outskirts of São Brás de Alportel, in the interior area of the Algarve. You'll learn how cork, an ecological material, is extracted from the cork oak tree and how different artisanal and decorative items are made.

During the tour, we will showcase the traditional processes to extract and work with cork and the different objects and tools used for its shaping, which vary based on the ductility of each cork variety.

The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and concludes at the factory's store, where you can see and purchase various accessories crafted with cork fabric.
