Rota do Cangaço Excursion

We'll pick you up at 6:30 am at your hotel in Aracaju to explore the towns along the Rota do Cangaço. The first stop will be in Piranhas, a historic town with colorful 19th-century houses, recognized as National Heritage. Here, we will discuss the history of the cangaceiros led by Virgulino Ferreira da Silva, also known as Lampião.

The tour continues with a boat ride on the São Francisco River, where you can see the contrast between the green vegetation and the ochre colors of the rocks along the riverbank.

We will stop at the Cangaço Ecopark, where you will have three hours of free time to swim in the São Francisco River and have a meal. A short hike to the Grota de Angicos, the cave where Lampião died, is also available for those interested.

Finally, we will return to Aracaju, with an estimated arrival at your hotel by 7 pm.
