São Joaquim Apple Tour

This tour focuses on apple cultivation and distribution in São Joaquim. You'll have the opportunity to pick your own apples directly from the tree.

The tour begins with a hotel pickup in São Joaquim at your chosen time. This crop is significant, representing more than 80% of the city's economy.

Our first destination is the Company of Agricultural Research and Rural Extension of Santa Catarina (EPAGRI), where we will learn about sustainable practices in agricultural production and the region's leadership in natural resource management.

Next, we will visit the apple processing facility to understand the various stages of apple processing, from harvesting to distribution, including washing and selection. We will also explore the prominent apple varieties from the area: Gala and Fuji.

Subsequently, we will head to an apple orchard where, if desired, you can pick apples directly from the trees and taste them.

The tour lasts four hours and concludes with a return to your hotel in São Joaquim.
