São Joaquim Bike Tour

At the appointed time we'll meet at Praça João Ribeiro, located in the center of São Joaquim. From there we'll start a bike tour to visit the most emblematic points of this municipality in the state of Santa Catarina.

The first stop of this 7 km (4.3 mi) bike route will be Igreja Matriz, São Joaquim's main church. We will then proceed to the Monument to Manoel Joaquim Pinto to learn about the city's economic development.

We will continue at Praça Cesário Amarante and Praça João Ribeiro, notable for their frozen trees in winter, a unique feature in one of Brazil's coldest cities.

Additionally, we will visit the historic center of São Joaquim and the Municipal History Museum, which provides insights into the city's history influenced by colonizers, tropeirismo, and the wood cycle in Brazil.

This bike tour of São Joaquim includes a stop at the Mirante dos Pinheiros, where participants can admire araucarias that reach up to 50 meters (164 feet) in height. We will take a break here to enjoy a bottle of water and apple chips.

Finally, after three hours, we will conclude the tour at the starting point.
