Travel to Nova Trento and discover the Italian legacy in this town in inland Brazil. We'll visit its sanctuaries and check out the city of Brusque, where we'll visit its department stores.

Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Florianópolis early in the morning and head towards the northern part of the state of Santa Catarina. After a little more than an hour's drive, we'll make our first stop in São João Batista, known for having more than 150 shoe factories. We'll visit a traditional market with local products.

Next, we continue to Nova Trento, a municipality with significant Austrian, German, Polish, and Italian influence due to 19th-century immigration. Around midday, we'll take a break at a typical Italian restaurant (lunch not included) before visiting the Sanctuary of Santa Paulina, the first Brazilian saint and one of the most visited sanctuaries in Santa Catarina.

After the sanctuary, we will visit a vineyard to learn about the local wines, as well as a chocolate factory, where we will discuss the uniqueness of these products.

Finally, we will head to Brusque, ideal for shopping. At FIP (Feira da Moda), you will have about two hours of free time for shopping at your leisure.

We will return to Florianópolis at approximately 5 pm.
