Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion

Travel to Nova Trento and discover the Italian legacy in this town in inland Brazil. We'll visit its sanctuaries and explore the city of Brusque, known for its department stores.

Nova Trento & Brusque Excursion

Pickup will be provided at your hotel in Florianópolis early in the morning as we head to the northern part of Santa Catarina. After a drive of over an hour, our first stop will be in São João Batista, recognized for its numerous shoe factories. We'll visit a traditional market featuring local products.

Next, we will continue to Nova Trento, a municipality with significant Austrian, German, Polish, and Italian influences from late 19th-century immigration. Around midday, a break will be taken for lunch at a typical Italian restaurant (lunch not included). Following our meal, we will visit the Sanctuary of Santa Paulina, a prominent landmark dedicated to Brazil's first saint. This sanctuary is among the most visited sites in Santa Catarina.

Afterwards, we will tour a vineyard to learn about local wines, followed by a visit to a chocolate factory, where we will discuss the uniqueness of these products.

Our excursion concludes in Brusque, an excellent shopping destination. We will visit FIP (Feira da Moda), offering hundreds of stores. You will have approximately two hours of free time for shopping.

We will return to Florianópolis around 5 pm.
